Matt Kirkland is a web designer, product designer, and artist. After working for corporations in the US and a German design firm’s Hong Kong branch, he moved to San Diego to join a small web consultancy. He’s designed for Apple, Bacardi, BMW, Everlast, MINI, Omega, Saab, Volvo, WMF, and World Youth Day. And International Arts Movement, of course.
Now he works with churches and organizations across the country. As a part of City Gates, he’s dedicated to empowering those organizations to create great web experiences, and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways via the web.
Matt lives in San Diego with his amazing wife Erika and preternaturally cute son Felix. He spends his free time drawing, designing, making things with his hands, reading books old enough to be your great-grandfather, admiring Kurasawa movies, searching for fatalism and recursion in the decision structure of choose-your-own-adventure books, and breaking & entering.
